Santino R is part of the first drop of the Starnberg youngsters. The very first Starnbergs offered at auction earlier this year have all been snapped up.
Starnberg is a young stallion schooling on impressively and will perform at the auction in the masterclasses. Although only 6 years of age, he already displays very promising piaffe and passage. Starnberg is a freak when it comes to flying changes and can already do the Grand Prix movement of 15 one-time changes!
Santino R is out of Jean R who is also the mother of Rogue Trader R who sold for $49,500 at this year�s Sydney AOS. Jean R is by the powerful Grand Prix stallion Jive Magic. Jean R is out of Lucilla R. Lucilla R is a full sister to Stirling Liberty who was a World Cup show-jumper with Olympian Gavin Chester in the saddle and who sired Snowy River Blackwood. Snowy River Blackwood was one of Australia�s
leading Grand Prix dressage horses for some years with Di Jenkyn in the saddle. Lucilla R is by Ludendorf, who to this day is the only stallion ever to be listed for the Olympics in three day eventing and Grand Prix dressage simultaneously. So Santino R is so bred in the purple in terms of Olympic disciplines. Santino R is a beautiful type and particularly quiet and curious about people. He will make some lucky rider a wonderful partner.
